When someone reaches us from the United States, the first thing we settle is the clock. Turkey runs roughly seven to eight hours ahead of the East Coast and about ten to eleven hours ahead of the West Coast, so we plan the appointment around your time zone rather than ours. Early morning in New York falls in the afternoon here, which is why most conversations are set either before your day begins or towards your evening. We speak by phone or by video call, and we agree on which one suits you when the appointment is made.

We hold these conversations in Turkish and in English. Some of the people who reach us from the United States would rather explain things in Turkish, because that is the language it all happened in; those who grew up there move more easily in English. You decide which language we use, and we switch between the two when a word only exists in one of them. What matters to us is that you can describe the situation in your own words, because the detail is what we are listening for.

In the United States the distance itself can be the obstacle: hours on the road inside a single state, a flight across time zones, a day off that is not simple to take. Speaking remotely means none of that is needed — you stay where you are, in your own home, and we talk. There is no office to come to, no waiting room, no one to run into, no explaining to anyone where you were going.

What you tell us stays between us; we do not record the conversation and we do not pass it on. We commit to no outcome in any of our services — rather than telling you what will happen, we look at where things stand together. The first conversation is free: we listen first, then say plainly what we can do and what lies outside what we do. Because the process differs from one person to the next, we describe no single timeline that works the same way for everyone.
